Rosary for Filomena "Mena" Ramirez, 74, of Lorenzo were held at 7:00 PM Sunday, August 15, 2004 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with Rev. Jesse Cruz officiating. Mass will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 16, 2004 at the same church with the same officiant. Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Ramirez died Thursday evening at Lubbock's University Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1929 in Pleasanton, Texas to Longinio and Maria Delgado Guzman. In 1957 she married Jose "Joe" Ramirez in Ralls. She was a housekeeper and a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church and Guadalupanas. She had lived in Crosby County for 45 years and lived in Lorenzo since 1991.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Pablo Guzman, Sr.
She is survived by her husband Joe of Lorenzo, 4 sons, Joe Ramirez, Jr. and Jesse Ramirez, both of Ralls, Gerald Ramirez of Lubbock and Edward Ramirez of Crosbyton, 3 daughters, Maria Elisa Gibson and Gloria Ramirez both of Ralls and Virginia Ramirez of Borger, 1 brother, Luis Guzman of Crosbyton, a half brother, Vidal Guzman of San Antonio, 1 sister Adelina Martinez of Crosbyton, a half sister, Juanita Garcia of Michagan, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
