RALLS (Special) — Services for William Elmon Ragle, 104, of Ralls will be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Ray pastor, officiating.

Assisting will be the Rev. George Estes, pastor of Lubbock's Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Ralls Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

He was born near Florence, Alabama, and had lived in Parker, Wise and Young counties in Texas before moving to Ralls in 1986. He married Launa Parchman on Nov. 26, 1904, in Olney. She died in 1977. He had farmed in the Emma and Ralls area. He had been a member of Ralls' Cumberland Presbyterian Church until it disbanded, then joined Lubbock's Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Emma Maonsic Lodge No. 931 in Ralls, and received a 75 year pin in 1983.

Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor Huddleston of Ralls and Marjorie Reed of Lubbock; two sisters, Ruby Smallin and Iola Stovall, both of Kingsland; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

A grandson, Lynn Huddleston, has been missing in action in Vietnam since 1967.
