RALLS (Special) — Services for Lillie Belle Ragland, 77, of Ralls will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating. The Rev. Harvey Wampler of Lubbock will assist.

Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Ragland died Friday, June 2, 1995, at Crosbyton Hospital.

She was born Sept. 27, 1917, in Honeygrove. She married Chester Ray Ragland on April 16, 1933, in Ralls. He died April 25, 1984.

She had lived in the Ralls area most of her life and was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years.

She was a member of the Golden Poets Society and wrote a weekly article for the Crosby County News and Chronicle titled "Liddy's Pen." She also wrote a book by the same title.

Survivors include her son, James Weldon of Plano; two daughters, Charlotte Raye Buckmaster of Nashville, Tenn. and Stacie Michelle Hinkle of Houston; one brother, Troy Jones of Meridian; two sisters, Pauline Sellers of Crosbyton and Mary Lee Beck of Lubbock; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
