RALLS — Services for Willie Fay Poteet, 87, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Ralls with the Rev. Ken Horn officiating.Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Saturday, May 4, 2002.
She was born Nov. 24, 1914, in Tom Green County and married Odell Poteet on Jan. 27, 1940, in Floydada. She attended school in the Starkey community. She worked for Robert Smithee Cleaners in Ralls for several years and at Dunlap´s in Lubbock for 30 years doing alterations. She retired at age 78.
She moved to Lubbock in 1969 from Ralls and was a member of Ralls First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Troy Dell "Smokey" of Wolfforth; four daughters, Mary Nell Thomas of Wolfforth, Nita Vincent of Lubbock, Rita Jernigan of Weatherford and Jackie Clines of Robinson; a brother, John Wilson of Ralls; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Road, Lubbock, TX 79424.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
