LOCKNEY (Special) - Services for Christine Poteet, 79, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lockney First Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Abney, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.
Poteet died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1993, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 19, 1914, in Bell County, She married Olan Poteet on Dec. 24, 1931, in Ralls. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lockney First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Lockney Order of the Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Temple High School. She moved to Lockney in 1939 from Ralls. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Fuller, and two sisters, Doris King and Hassie Lane.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Layne and Dwayne, both of Austin; two daughters Pat Turner of Shreveport, LA, and Beverly Wilson of Abernathy; three sisters, Lois Young of Temple, Margaret Wheeler of Cone and Mildred Foster of Bedford; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
