Services for Marion James Phillips, 84, of Ralls were held at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 1990 in the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Phillips died at 5:25 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 1990 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born Nov. 6, 1905 in Erath County, Texas and married Ollie Crumpley, Feb. 2, 1928 in Lubbock, TX. She preceded him in death March 16, 1986. He was a retired farmer and mechanic and had worked for Abell-Prewitt in Ralls for about 20 years. He was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and the Dominoe Club. He had lived in the Ralls area most of his life.

Survivors include: three sons, Clayton Phillips of Lubbock, Robert E. Phillips of Dallas and Jim M. Phillips of Roundrock, TX; two daughters, Sarah Fenley of Dallas and Kaye Kirk of Lubbock, TX; three brothers, Leon "Pete" Phillips and T.C. "Skeet" Phillips, both of Slaton, and Matt Phillips of Reagan, TX; four sisters, Alvena Livingston of Levelland, Ora Key of Hamilton, TX, Clara Belle Watson and Juanita Hays, both of Fort Smith, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
