Funeral services for Berl E. Perkins, 93, of Ralls were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Fuller, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Perkins died Sunday morning in Methodist hospital in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Paris, Texas. He married Clara Templeton on Sept. 22, 1912, in Lamar County. She died in 1974. He was a retired farmer. He was a deacon of Ralls First Baptist Church. He moved to the Ralls area in 1924.

Survivors include five daughters, Christine Pace and Mavis Benton, both of Lubbock, Doris Mimms of Ralls, Lorene Callaway of Canton, and Gladys Cochran of Austin; a sister, Ethel Parsons of Paris, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
