Shirley Parker, 74, of Ralls went to be with her Lord on May 24, 2015.
Shirley was born to Truett Melton and Rose (Townsend) Melton in Clarksville, Texas on March 29, 1941. She married Clarence Parker on September 20, 1958 in Ralls and they were married for 56 wonderful years. Shirley loved to read and work crossword puzzles and was formerly a member of the First United Methodist Church in Andrews. She loved to listen to music, and especially loved listening to Pop and Brady play guitar.
She is survived by her husband Clarence Parker of Ralls; her son Marty Parker and wife Lynn of Levelland; her sisters Barbara Brooks and husband Billy; and Pat Simpson and her husband Al; her brothers Gary Melton and wife Liz; and Rick Melton and wife Shonna; three grandchildren Ashley McClain; Brady Parker and wife Katie; and Kiley Hill and husband Sam; her great-granddaughter Gabriella Hill; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Ralls, with burial to follow at the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
