Myrtle Norris

RALLS (Special) - Graveside services for Myrtle Norris, 90, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 8, 1997, in the Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Morris died at 4:05 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997, in the Ralls Nursing Home following an illness.

She was born July 19, 1907, in Erath County, TX and married Elmer Norris on Sept. 20, 1924, in Eastland County, TX. He preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1994. . She was a Methodist and a member of Prairie Thimble Quilting Club. She was a homemaker and had been a hostess and cashier at the Trade Winds Restaurant in Ralls. She moved to Canyon Valley in 1930 and to Ralls in 1950

She is also preceded in death by two sons, Wendell Dayne Norris who died Aug. 6, 1983 and Bernard La Gene Norris who died Sept. 5, 1984 and by 2 grandchildren..

Survivors include three sons, Dalton and Doyle, both of Ralls, and Carlos of San Antonio; a daughter, Cheryl DeGan of Ralls; a sister, Lenora Clements of Dalhart; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
