Services for Elmer Dalton Norris, 79, of Ralls will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Carson and Rev. Ken Bevel officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Dalton passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Crosbyton Hospital.
He was born on January 20, 1928 in Roby, Texas to the late Millard Elmer and Minnie Myrtle (Stephens) Norris. On July 19, 1947 he married Norma Ruth Henderson in Lubbock. Dalton was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and former member of the Ralls Jaycees and the Ralls Volunteer Fire Dept. He owned and operated Dalton Norris Texaco for 33 years and was a mail carrier for 34 years. He moved to Ralls in 1945 from Canyon Valley. Dalton was and avid golfer.
He is preceded in death by two brothers; Dayne and Gene.
Survivors include; his wife Ruth of Ralls, two sons and their wives; Dennis and Cindy of Amarillo, Terry and Beverly of Lubbock, a daughter; Teresa Trevathan of Lubbock, two brothers; Carlos of San Antonio, Doyle of Idalou, a sister; Cheryl DeGan of Ralls and three grandchildren; Melissa Trevathan, Laura Norris and Dane Norris.
Serving as pallbearers were: Danny Norris, Norman Norris, Walt Norris, Scott Norris, Kim Norris, Steven Norris, Duane Norris and Vince Norris.
