MELVIN AUGUSTUS MOSES was born March 02, 1865 in Caldwell County, Texas to Henry Phillip Moses 
and Lavina Ratliff; he died June 22, 1935 in Ralls, Texas.
He married JULIA BELL HARRIS December 22, 1887 in Milam County, Texas.She was born August 31, 1870 in Georgia 
to James Ratliff and Sarah Fisher; she died January 25, 1953 in Ralls, Texas. 
      
Children of MELVIN MOSES and JULIA HARRIS are:

  iv.   JASPER ROY MOSES, b. December 24, 1898, Milam County, Texas; d. February 11, 1965. 
   v.   RUBY MOSES, b. June 29, 1901, Lampasas County, Texas; m. JACK MURPHY, June 12, 1921. 
  vi.   FANNIE BELLE MOSES, b. December 30, 1904; d. January 08, 1905. 
 vii.   LUCILLE MOSES, b. April 26, 1907, Dawson County, Texas. 
viii.   MARY MOSES, b. August 20, 1909, Crosby County, Texas; d. August 25, 1909.
