Mrs. Hettie Morton, Longtime Resident, is Death Victim

Mrs. Hettie Viola Morton, 87, died at her home here late Saturday night. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church, with W.S. Hancock, Lubbock, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Morton had been a South Plains resident since 1916.

Survivors include a son, Odest Morton, Ralls; eight daughters, Mrs. Ann Holland, Mrs. Lee Roy Ashley, Mrs. Elba Hal and Mrs. A.D. Ivey, all of Ralls; Mrs. Alva Patton, Muleshoe; Mrs. Bob Hubble, Midland and Mrs. Fred Hawkins and Mrs. A.B. May both of Crosbyton; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Ingle, Daly City, CA, Mrs. Sam King, Ralls and Mrs. Mary Roberts, Rockdale; three brothers, Roy Hillin, Ralls; Clarence Hillin, Marble Falls, and Robert Hillin, McNary, 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons.
