Ralls Man Is Killed In Lubbock Accident
Services for Carrol Lee Moore will be Wed. at 2:30 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Royce Barker, pastor officiating.Interment will be in the Ralls Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Doyle Berry, Marshall King, Charles Sechrist, Glenn Partain, Dwayne Kelso, and Truman Ellis.
Moore came to Ralls in 1951 from Erick, Okla.
Carrol Lee Moore, 28, of Ralls was killed about midnight Sunday when his pickup truck, northbound on Loop 289, struck a mound of dirt in a construction zone .2 mile north of East 19th Street and overturned four times, smashing through a barricade and strewing wreckage for about 160 feet. He was taken to Methodist Hospital. Justice of the Peace Wayne LeCroy conducted an inquest.
The pickup, which also struck a speed limit sign, came to rest on its top, the occupant still inside.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Molly Beth Moore of Amarillo; his father, R. T. Moore of Ralls; three brothers, Billy Jean Moore of Odessa, Bobby Hugh Moore of Lubbock; Jerry Ray of Ralls; and six sisters, Mrs. Mildred Trotter of Ralls, Mrs. Juanita Smith of Quitaque, Mrs. Inez Blades of Dalhart, Mrs. Joyce Daniels of Dumas, Mrs. Jeanette Carroll of Euless and Mrs. Helen Turner of Jenks, Okla.
