Services for Nancy Mize, 82, of Ralls were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2005 at the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls with Tom Wilkins and Tim Mills officiating. Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Mize passed away Friday, July 8, 2005 at the Ralls Nursing Home. She was born August 9, 1922 in Omaha, Texas to J. E. and Daisy (Cason) Walker. On November 9, 1940 she married Jesse W. Mize in Ralls. He preceded her in death September 2, 1982.
She was a member of the Emma Church of Christ and the VFW Auxiliary. She had lived in Ralls most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Mildred McDermett and Claudine Duncan.
She is survived by a son, Loni Mize of Johnson City, Texas and three daughters and their husbands; Nancille and Eddie Verett of Ralls, Jerrye and Leon Groves of Mineral Wells, and Jan and Tom Wilkins of Lexington, Kentucky. She is also survived by a brother, Buddy Walker of Roswell, NM, and by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Children's Home of Lubbock,4404 Idalou Hwy. Lubbock, Texas 79403 or the Ralls Nursing Home, 1111 Ave. P, Ralls, Tx 79357. Visitation was from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday at Adams Funeral Home.
