
Funeral rites for Mamie Mize of Ralls were at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls. Elvin Upton, minister, officiated and was assisted by Loyd Hall, minister of the Church of Christ in Crosbyton.
Burial was made in Ralls Cemetery, under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Mrs. Mize, 84, was the mother of Allen and Eldred Mize of Crosbyton.
She died at 6:15 p.m. last Wednesday in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a prolonged illness.
Mrs. Mize had been a resident of Crosby County since 1927. She and Lee Mize were married June 8, 1909 in Gordon.
Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Allen Mize and Eldred Mize of Crosbyton, Fred Mize of Red Oak, Lewis Mize and Raymond Mize, both of Lubbock, Lawrence Mize of Oceanside, Calif., and Jessie Mize of Ralls; a daughter, Mrs. Bob Noble of Lubbock; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
The family suggested memorials in the form of contributions to the Lubbock Children´s Home.

Memorial services for Lee Mize of Lubbock and formerly of Ralls were at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls. Roy Shave, the minister, and Glen Gray, minister of the Church of Christ in Crosbyton, officiated. Mr. Mize was 92.

Mr. Mize was claimed by death at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Simkins Nursing Home in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.
Born Nov. 3, 1890, in Oak Hurst, Tex., Mr. Mize and the former Mamie Pruitt were married June 8, 1909, in Gordon. Mrs. Mize preceded her husband in death Jan. 16, 1980.
The couple brought their family to Crosby County in 1927 from Gordon. They moved to Lubbock in October 1975.
A retired farmer, Mr. Mize was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock.
Survivors include six sons, Allen Mize and Eldred Mize, both of Crosbyton, Fred Mize of Red Oak, Lewis Mize and Raymond Mize, both of Lubbock, and Lawrence Mize of Austin; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Gladys) Noble of Lubbock; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Another son, Jesse Mize, preceded his father in death Sept. 2, 1982.
