RALLS (Special) - Services for Henry Denton Mitchell, 97, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Assembly of God here with the Rev. James Yohn, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Murdock, pastor of the Lubbock Lighthouse Assembly of God.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mitchell died at 2 a.m. Thursday in Ralls Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

He was a native of the Cherokee Indian Nation and moved to Ralls three years ago from Lubbock. He married Mary Cantwell Jan. 22, 1903, in Washita County, Okla. She died in 1937. He married Ruth Kelso in 1957 in Lubbock. She died in 1978. He was a farmer.

Survivors include a son, Herman of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five daughters, Oletha Condra of Fredrick, Okla., Effie Elizabeth Kelso of Lubbock, Eva Scott of Midwest City, Okla., Annie Kelso of Ralls and Naomi Summrall of Bentonville, Ark.; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
