Services for Sarah Mincey, 77, of Lubbock, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Ralls First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Hubbard, pastor officiating.

Burial was in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

She died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at the Carillon Care Center in Lubbock.

She was born April 6, 1922, in Ralls.

She married Arnold F. Mincey on Nov. 7, 1943, in Ralls.

She was a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church and the Goodwill Sunday School Class. She was a telephone operator for GTE and later worked in Lubbock as a PBX operator in the federal district office. She also worked for U.S. Senator George Mahon. She returned to Ralls in 1984, and moved back to Lubbock in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 23, 1998, and by her brother, John J.Criswell on Jan. 10, 1991.

Survivors include two sons, Arnold Mincey Jr. of Lubbock and Jimmy Mincey of Clarendon; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pall bearers included Dalton Norris, Tom Brummett, Chris Ritter, Billy Bob Wright, Dewey Mincey, John C.Klattenhoff, Daniel Housh, Vernon Roye, and Dewey Wells.
