Services for Vardaman G. Miller, 88, of Ralls were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Haddock of Lubbock officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Wednesday, August 11, 1999, at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

He was born Jan. 28, 1911, in Covington, Hill County, TX.

He was a member of Ralls First Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for 51 years. He was a member of the Emma Masonic Lodge No. 931 where he received his 50 year pin. He was a past president of the Ralls Co-Op Gin, and a director of the Crosby County Fuel Board. He was a member of the Texas Farmers Union. He was a graduate of Ralls High School, and attended North Texas Normal.

He was a retired farmer and an avid fisherman. . He moved to the Ralls area in 1927 from Hill County, TX.

Survivors include two brothers, C.C. of Austin, and T.G. of Ralls.

Pallbearers were Benny Poulson, Andrew Poulson, Matt Wilmeth, Michael Sanders, Glen Joyce, and Wiley Anstead.

Honorary Pallbearers were Fisherman's sunday School Class.
