Rosary for Rosalia Mendoza, 86, of Ralls was held at 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 1990, in the St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Parampil, pastor, officiating. Mass was celebrated at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 1990, in the same church with the same officiant.Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Mendoza died at 5 a.m. Monday in Lubbock's St. Mary of the Plains Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 4, 1904, in Irapuato, Got., Mexico, and moved to Ralls in 1952 from Cameron, Texas.
She married Florentino Mendoza in Clarksville, Texas. He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was one son, Carlos Mendoza, and one sister, Macaria V. Pantoja.
Survivors include three sons, Ed Mendoza and Jesus Mendoza of Ralls, Manuel Mendoza of Lorenzo; two daughters, Carman Sanchez of Ralls, Margarita Ojeda of Independence, Oregon; 40 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
