Mendoza Funeral To Be In Ralls Tuesday
Funeral services for Florentino Vasquez Mendoza, 85, of Ralls will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church with the Rev. Harold Waldow, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Mendoza died Saturday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock following a lengthy illness.
A native of Castroville, he was a farm laborer and founding member of St. Michael's Catholic Church here. He also was a member of Sagrado Corazonde Jesus Society. He moved here in 1952 from Cameron.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa; three sons, Edwardo of Ralls, Jesus of McAdoo and Emanuel of Lorenzo; two daughters, Mrs. Margarita Ojedo of Independence, Ore. and Mrs. Carmen Sanchez of Ralls; a brother, Leon of Dallas; 39 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
