Guadalupe Mendoza, 86, of Ralls passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011, in Lubbock. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with Father Samuel Oracion officiating. Burial will follow in Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. A visitation for family and friends will held from 4-7 P.M., Monday at the Adams funeral home in Ralls.
Guadalupe was born on May 25, 1925, in Rosebud, Texas to the late Madaleno and Dominga (Rangel) Mendez. Guadalupe married Edward Mendoza, Sr. on January 19, 1946 in Cameron, Texas. She was a housewife, the best cook, loved spending time children. Guadalupe loved her Novelas and even named one of her cats "Teresa" after a character from the show, her prized possession over photo albums, which contained pictures, newspaper clippings, birth announcements, wedding invitations and birthday cards....Affectionately known as "Grandma" to many children in town. Some are which are adults now, she was recently asked one of them to be Matron of Honor at his upcoming wedding.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, and her two little boys Juan and Carlos Mendoza, her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Mendoza, Sr. of Ralls, three daughters, Connie Salazar of Salem Oregon, Mary and her husband Tom Reyna of Ralls, Rosalinda Mendoza of Ralls, three sons, Eddy and his wife Irma Mendoza of Lubbock, Ted and his wife Irene Mendoza of Lubbock, Jesse "Buddy" Mendoza of Ralls, 22 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

Edward B Mendoza Sr., 89, of Ralls went to be with his Lord on September 29, 2014. Edward was born October 13, 1924 in Clarksville, Texas to Florentino and Rosalia Vallejo Mendoza. He married Guadalupe Mendez on January 19, 1941 in Cameron, Texas.
Edward served in the Army in 1944 during World War II. During the four years he served, he was stationed in France, Belgium, and Germany. He also served in the Airborne Division as a paratrooper during occupational Japan. He returned home and began a lifelong occupation as a farmer. Edward was a member of St. Michael�s Catholic Church where he was very involved. He was a Cursillista, a member of the Mens Society, The American Legion, member of the Legion of Mary, and was always helping others get to their appointments. Edward enjoyed going to the nursing home and helping with the Bingo games. He will be truly missed by all.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 65 years Guadalupe, and two sons Juan and Carlos Mendoza.
Edward is survived by three daughters; Connie Salazar of Salem, Oregon, Mary Reyna of Ralls, and Rosalinda Mendoza of Ralls. He leaves three sons; Eddy Mendoza Jr. and wife Irma of Lubbock, Ted Mendoza and wife Irene of Lubbock, and Jesse Mendoza of Ralls. Edward also leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 50 great- grandchildren and 16 great-great- grandchildren.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at the St. Michael�s Catholic Church. Burial will follow with military honors in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. A rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the same church.
