Rosary for Virginia Mendolla, 76, of Ralls will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004 in St. Michael's Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Monday, October 18, 2004 in the same church with Rev. Jesse Cruz officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Mendolla passed away Friday morning, October 15, 2004 at Lubbock's Covenant Medical Center. She was born May 21, 1928 in Stamford, Texas to Dionicio and Florencia Delgado Diaz. On August 15, 1943 she married Jessie Mendolla in Stamford. He preceded her in death February 25, 1996. She was a homemaker but had worked at Carpenter Cleaners in Ralls and for Texas Transformers in Crosbyton. She moved to Ralls in 1948 from Stamford. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas. She is survived by 4 sons,
Joe Mendolla and his wife Andrea, Mike Mendolla and his wife Gloria and Sammy Mendolla all of Ralls and Lyman Mendolla of Lubbock, by 2 daughters, Mary Lou Mendolla of Ralls and Stella Hernandez and her husband Chico of Lubbock. Also surviving is 1 brother, Macario Diaz of Wichita, Kansas, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Pall bearers will be Gerry Martinez, Phillip Hernandez, Kurt Mendolla, Adrian Hernandez, Rusty Mendolla and Dustin Mendolla.
