Services for Mamie Ruth Melton, 86, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. last Thursday in the Church of Christ with Preston M. Oden, a Church of Christ minister from Lubbock, officiating.Burial followed in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Melton was born in Brownwood and had lived in Crosby County most of her life. She married Cecil Melton February 2, 1935 in Ralls. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Max of Oak Harbor, Washington; a daughter, Georgia Mae Nipp of Ralls; a brother, Rex Kimbrough of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Larry Nipp of Ralls and Cynthia Taylor of South Bend, Indiana; three great grandchildren, Charlie Nipp of Ralls, Jessica Nipp of Ralls and Shauna Taylor of Indiana.
Pallbearers were Larry Nipp, Kenny Chance, Gerald Chance, Guy Surratt, Gene Coffer and Charles Bell.
