RALLS (Special) — Services for Mrs. Laverne Meacham, 72, of 1102 58th St. No. 31, Lubbock, will be at 10 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Ralls with the Rev. E. C. Chron, a Carrollton minister, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Charles Broadhurst, pastor of the Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock, and the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor of the Ralls First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery with Eastern Star graveside rites conducted by the Freedom Chapter in Lubbock. Services are under the direction of Carter Funeral Home in Ralls.

Mrs. Meacham died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital.

The Paris native moved to Ralls in 1925 from Lamar County. She moved to Lubbock from Ralls in 1959. She was employed at Texas Tech University as a dietician. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Freedom Chapter.

Survivors include two sons, Walter of Ft. Sumner, N.M., and Tom of Glendale, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. D. E. Wells Sr. of Ralls, Mrs. Glen Hogue of Paris and Mrs. T. C. Smith of Houston; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
