U.S.Flag RALLS (Special) Services for Marvin A. McLaughlin, 95, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Mehtodist Church with the Rev. Mike Struve, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

McLaughlin died at 1:40 p.m. Thursday in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after an illness.

He was born in Collingsworth County and was a longtime resident of Crosby County. He married Salome Bledsoe Ware in 1926. She died in 1936. He married Lillian Gilbert in 1969. She died in 1973. He was a graduate of West Texas State University and a veteran of World War I.

He helped survey the site which later became Ralls and had been president of Security State Bank & Trust of Ralls. He helped organize the White River Municipal Water District and had served as its president. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Victory Sunday School Class. He had served on the church's administrative board for several years. He was a 60 year member of Masonic Lodge No. 931.

Survivors include three sons, Ralph McLaughlin of Big Spring, Gene McLaughlin of Ralls and Arnett Ware of Dallas; a daughter, Ann Orr of Wheaton, Ill.; a sister, Claranell Lewis of LaJolla, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
