Obituary

RALLS (Special) — Services for Everett R. McGregor, 73, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Marcom and the Rev. David Ray officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 11 a.m. Saturday at his residence. Justice of the Peace Jim Scott Travis ruled natural causes in the death.

He was born in McMinville, Tenn. He married Maxine Moore Dec. 14, 1935, in Lamesa. He moved to Ralls in 1965 from Amherst. He was a Methodist minister and a member of the Northwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He had served as pastor in Petty, Maple, Goodland, Tye, Margaret, Booker, Wolfforth, Roby, Throckmorton, Kress, Amherst, Ralls, Cone, Afton, Roaring Springss and New Deal.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy of Dallas; three daughters, Judy Howard of Floydada, Billie Petty of Ralls and Paula Pratt of Dallas; a sister, Ruth Helstrom of Palestine; 11 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Billie Maxine McGregor, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at First United Methodist Church Grapevine. Burial will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Ralls Cemetery in Ralls, Texas. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine.

To honor Maxine, the family requests donations to First United Methodist Church Grapevine. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Everett R. McGregor.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Mayes; son, Everett Roy McGregor; daughters, Billie Petty and Paula Pratt; son-in-law, Bob Howard; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
