Services for Lovenia McCraw, 84, of Ralls were held at 10 a.m. Monday in Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died at 12:35 a.m. Friday, May 29, 1998, in Ralls Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 14, 1913, in Hickory, Okla. She married Carl Wilson McCraw on Sept. 13, 1932, in Sulphur, Okla. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1986. She was a member of Ralls First Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher for 34 years. She was a cook at Ralls Nursing Home from 1969-1971. She also kept many children throughout the years. She was a homemaker. She moved to Cone in 1929 from Sulphur, OK, then to Ralls in 1956 from Cone.

She was preceded in death by a son, Carl McCraw, Jr., and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin of Kerrville and Alvie of Lovington, N.M.; a daughter, Lavona Carol Brents of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sisters, Ida Talkington of Sulphur, Okla., and Ruth Bow of Roswell, N.M.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
