Nathan McClain

Nathan McClain, 69, died in his home here at 11:30 a.m. Friday following an illness of several weeks. Retired, he was former caretaker of Crosbyton cemetery.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Lesslie Thompson, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiating.

McClain was born in Pinebluff, Arkansas. He moved to this area from Vera in 1907.

Survivors include the wife; a daughter, Mrs. Marshal McCaully, Ralls; two grandchildren; a brother, John, Crosbyton; five sisters, Mrs. Belle Hering, Corsicana; Mrs. Letha McClain, Pruit, Ark.; Mrs. Tessie Coppinger, Mancos, Colo.; Mrs. Ophelia Compton, Pueblo, Colo.; Mrs. Versie O'Neil, California.

Interment was in Ralls Cemetery.
