Services for Jose Martinez, 72, of Ralls will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang officiating. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.He died Sunday, April 27, 2003 in Crosbyton Hospital. He was born on October 21, 1930 in Yorktown, Texas, to Isaac and Maria Guzman Martinez. He married Belia Casarez on Dec. 28, 1955 in Karnes City, Texas.
He was a member of St. Michael?s Catholic Church and a farmer. He moved to Ralls from O?Donnell in 1971.
He is preceded in death by two brothers: Ruben and Benito Martinez.
Survivors include, his wife Belia of Ralls, 5 sons Robert of Ralls, Joe, Jimmy, Ricky and Raymond all of Conway, Arkansas, two daughters Rollie Villanueva of Ralls and Hortencia Puente of Okinawa, Japan, three brothers, Clemente and Anselmo both of Brownfield and Raul of Meadow, five sisters, Consuelo Rodriguez of Levelland, Lillie Carter of Arizona, Ofelia Garza of Ralls, Adelita Alonzo of Meadow and Elouisa Guzman of Loop, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Ralls EMS 801 Ave. I Ralls, Texas 79357.
