Services for Pauline Martin, 66, of Cone were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 1989 in the Ralls First United Methodist Church with Rev. Russ Byard, pastor, and Elder Joe Jackson, retired Primitive Baptist minister of Cone, officiating.Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Martin died at 7 p.m. Friday, August 18, 1989 in the Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born August 11, 1923 in Crowell, TX and married R. L. Martin, Jr. May 14, 1940 in Ralls. She was a homemaker, a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church. She joined the Methodist Church at age 12. She moved to Crosby County in 1936 from Crowell. Her father, Paul Ely preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1985.
Survivors include: her husband: R. L. Martin, Jr. of Cone; mother: Gladys Ely of Cone; 1 son: Roland Martin of Cone; 1 daughter: Mrs. Vicki Cornwell of Hobbs, NM; 2 grandsons: Britt Cornwell and Tyson Cornwell, both of Hobbs.
Pall Bearers: Kenneth Sellers, A. J. Lamb, Tony Cantu, Bob Hefley, Earl Lamb, Mark Hirst, L. E. Littlefield, Ron Tullis.
Honorary Bearers: Clinton Denning, Vernon Roye, James Boydstun, Hubert Watson, Bud Anderson, Elmer McReynolds, M. E. Williamson, Lester Caraway, Drue Cumbie, Wayne Parker, Tom Oats, Ed Martin.

RALLS (Special) - Services for R. L. Martin, 74, of Cone will be at 3:30 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Martin died at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 1994, in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1919, in Eulogy. He was a farmer. He married Pauline Ely on May 14, 1940, in Ralls. She died on Aug. 18, 1989.
Survivors include a son, Roland Martin of Cone; a daughter, Vicki Cornwell of Hobbs, N.M.; a sister, Jewel Jones of Albuquerque, N.M.; and two grandsons.
