Funeral services for Walter T. Macon, 67, longtime Ralls farmer, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Ralls First Baptist church, with the Rev. James Abernethy, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Ralls cemetery.Mr. Macon died at his residence in Ralls at 1 p.m. Friday after a short illness. Retired for the past few years, Macon had farmed near Ralls since 1923, coming to Crosby County from Commanche County.
Survivors include his wife and one son, Thomas O., Lubbock; three daughters, Mrs. F.A. Barrington, Ralls; Mrs. Bill Detherow, Corcoran, Calif., and Mrs. Carl D. Holmes, San Antonio; four brothers, R.L. Tucson, Ariz.; C.L. DeLeon; B.H., Dallas, and J.M., Commanche; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Duke, Commanche; Mrs. Baxter Roy Blanket; and Mrs. B.C. Chambers, DeLeon; three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Artie Macon, 77, 4317 40th St., died at 3:45 p.m. Friday in a local convalescent home.Services are pending at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Macon was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. She moved to Lubbock nine years ago from Ralls where she had resided for 30 years.
Survivors include a son T.O., 5510 17th St.; three daughters, Mrs. Opal Barrington, 4317 40th St., Mrs. Faye Holmes, San Antonio and Mrs. Corene Detherow, Corcoran, CA; two brothers, O.C. Vinson, Floydada, and J.A. Vinson, Dublin; a sister, Mrs. Reeves Pittman, DeLeon; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
