Tommy Lyle Photo RALLS � Graveside services for Tommy Lyle, 96, of Lubbock will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Wiseman officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002.

He was born Sept. 12, 1906, in Scott County, Miss. He married Elizabeth Leonard in 1938, in Roswell, N.M. She died Dec. 25, 1948. He married Frances Urban on Oct. 9, 1954, in Cameron, Mo. She died Dec. 14, 1997. He was a member of Lubbock First United Methodist Church.

He graduated from Ralls High School in 1925 and from Texas Tech in 1929. He did graduate work at Evanston, Ill. He worked for Illinois Bell Telephone until 1935. He farmed in Ralls until retiring in 1972.

He served on the Ralls school board the year the new school was built. He was a member of the Ralls Rotary Club and served as president in 1960. He helped organize Crosby County Fuel Association. He was a Sunday school teacher in Ralls and Lubbock.

Survivors include two daughters, Betsy Hanson of Windsor, Canada, and Sheila Williams of Austin; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Tommy and Frances Lyle Scholarship Fund at Texas Tech or First United Methodist Church in Lubbock.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
