RALLS (Special) - Services for Mid E. Long, 89, of Crosbyton are set for 4 p.m. today in Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Ralls. Officiating will be the Rev. John Jenkins, pastor of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church.Burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery.
Long died Tuesday morning in a Crosby nursing home.
A native of Lampasas County, he was also a former resident of Ralls and Lorenzo. In his youth, he worked as a cowboy on ranches from Texas to Montana. In 1910, he settled permanently in Texas. He was a retired rancher and farmer.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R. L. Ormon of Lorenzo, and Mrs. P.C. Harmonson of 6205 Indiana Ave.; a brother, R. R. Long of Odessa; a sister, Mrs. S.A. Morris of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
