Services for Al Logsdon, 67, of Ralls will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Ralls with the Rev. Loyd Castle officiating. Burial will follow at the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mr. Logsdon passed away Sunday, July 3, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born May 30, 1938 in Levelland to Elba and Lorene Dobbs Logsdon. On Aug. 25, 1967, he married Sammie Beck. He worked for the U.S. Post Office in Lubbock and the National Linen Co. He also served in the Navy. He was a member of the Levelland First Baptist Church and moved to Ralls about 12 years ago from Littlefield. He is preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Kelly Jo McCauley who passed away April 28, 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Sammie Logsdon of Ralls; his mother, Lorene Autrey of Levelland; his son, Timothy Logsdon of Ralls; a daughter and her husband, Kathy and Johnnie Fetsch of Lubbock; a brother and his wife, Jim and Jean Logsdon of Levelland; a sister and her husband, Kaye and Wesley Hobgood of Lubbock; and two grandchildren, Derek McCauley of Ralls, and Jeffrey Trojacek of Ennis.
The family suggests memorials to MADD or VistaCare Hospice, 1010 Slide Road Lubbock, TX 79416.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight, July 5, at the funeral home.
