Funeral services for Gertrude Burks Lindsey, 86, of San Angelo were held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Fuller officiating.Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Lindsey died Friday in Baptist Memorial Geriatrics Center in San Angelo after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Jones County and married Tom Burks in 1917 in Anson. He died in 1951 and she married Joe Lindsey in May 1954 in Ralls. He died 1984. She was a member of Imanuel Baptist Church in San Angelo. She moved to San Angelo nine years ago from Ralls.
Survivors include a son, Melvin Burks of Tahoka; a stepson, James W. Lindsey of Midland; two granddaughters; and a step grandson.
