RALLS (Special) Services for Alvie Lindley, 76, of Ralls will be at 3 p.m. today in Emma Church of Christ with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Lindley died at 1:35 a.m. Sunday at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Durant, Okla., and moved to Ralls from Borger in 1945.

He married Anita Freeman in 1939 in Clovis, N.M. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a licensed funeral director and florist, and with his wife owned and operated the Ralls Flower Shop and Snack Bar for many years. He was a member of the Ralls Lions Club and had been treasurer of the Band Parents. He was retired from the Ralls Fire Department, where he had served as fire marshal and civil defense coordinator.

Survivors include his wife; a son,Mark of Wichita Falls; three daughters, Carolyn Pruitt of Lubbock and Sandra Mackey and D'Ann Cauley, both of San Angelo; a sister, Louise Lindley of Ralls; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Freeman, Greg Freeman, Roger Greeman, Kelly Ivey, Mitchell Ivey and Paul Degan.
