Ralls Rites Set for Mrs. Ligon

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, Ralls, for Mrs. Leona Ligon, 65, 4415 26th St., a resident of Lubbock from 1935 until a year ago.

Officiating at services will be the Rev. Walter White, pastor of the Ralls First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery.

Mrs. Ligon, born in Erath County, moved to Ralls in 1916 with her husband, Jake Ligon, who died in 1956.

Mrs. Ligon died Tuesday night in a Big Springs hospital, where she had been for about a year.

Pallbearers will be H. L. Porter, Petersburg, and Otho Reed, O. D. Stephens, Charles Tyer, Raymond Reese and Marvin Arnold, all of Ralls.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary S. Reeves, 4415 26th St.; four sons, Bob Ligon and Jesse Ligon, 3011 Cornell St., Cleo Ligon, 5017 40th St., and George Ligon, Calif.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister; and four brothers.
