Services for Ellen B. Lehew, 88, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, 1990, in Monterey Church of Christ with Grant Standefer and Ray Pectol officiating.Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Lehew died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 1990 in Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Ralls and moved to Lubbock in 1944. She married John Seeds July 6, 1921, in Ralls. He died in 1944. She had owned a real estate and rental business and was a member of the Lubbock Senior Citizens and the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Jimmie Leatherwood of Lubbock and Johnnie Odom of Paris, Texas; two sisters, Leatha Thomas of Wellington and Bill Darden of Lorenzo; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Leatherwood, Bob Halford, Bill DeLoach, Tracy DeLoach, Bonner Bennett and Bud Bennett.
The family suggests memorials to the Childrens Home of Lubbock.
