U.S.Flag   Harvey LambU.S.Flag   Services for Harvey Lamb, 87, of Ralls will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. T. J. Messer and Rev. Richard Harbison officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the funeral home.

Harvey passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Crosbyton Hospital after a five year battle with cancer.

He was born November 24, 1925 in Crosby County on a farm to the late Walton Edward and Cora Viola (Megowan) Lamb. On June 5, 1948 he married Betty Whitlock in Lubbock. Harvey was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and a man of great faith. He was a US Army veteran of WWII where he was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for the Lubbock Police Department from 1955 to 1959 and for 37 years at Midcap Bearing Co. as Inventory Clerk.

Harvey is preceded in death by three brothers, H. L. Lamb, Edward W. Lamb and Orville Lamb and a son-in-law Brooks Wheeler. Survivors include his wife of almost 65 years Betty of Ralls; two daughters Susan Wheeler of Lubbock, Janice McDonald and husband Terrell of Greenville, SC; a grandson, Stephen Wheeler and his wife Lisa of Dallas; great grandchildren, Kassy Funes and Mason Wheeler along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews and family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Kassy Funes, Chris McClanahan, Stephen Wheeler, Donald Whetstine, Roland Martin and Dwight Roye.

The family suggests memorials be made to Joe Arrington Cancer Center or The Ralls First Baptist Church.
