Services for Mrs. Ruby Lee Kemp, 62, of Ralls were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Emma Church of Christ with Creed Mullins, minister, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kemp died Monday at Lubbock's St. Mary's Hospital.

The Jack County native moved to the Ralls area in 1928 from Jacksboro. She was married to Ruben Kemp in Ralls March 31, 1938.

Survivors include her husband, Ruben; her mother, Mrs. Maggie Johnson of Cone; two sons, Ruben Michael of Lubbock and Sammy Joe of Floydada; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Jones of Lubbock and Mrs. Barbara Wilson of Amarillo; six brothers, Leslie L. Goodson of Lubbock, David Goodson of Amarillo, Dan Goodson of Besiles, Calif., Tommy Goodson of Gatesville, Billy Joe Goodson of Midland and Ted Goodson of Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Blanton of Amarillo, Mrs. Bennie Jack Gee of Odessa and Mrs. Hilda Rey of Jonesboro; and 9 grandchildren.

RALLS (Special) — Services for Ruben G. Kemp, 64, of 4604 Jarvis St. in Lubbock will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Ralls First Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Burke, pastor, officiating, assisted by Joe Jackson of Cone.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Kemp died at 2 a.m. Friday in Lubbock General Hospital following a lengthy illness.

The Kaufman native married the former Ruby Lee Goodson March 31, 1938, in Ralls. He moved to the South Plains in 1934 from Kaufman. He lived in Ralls from 1956 to 1976, when he moved to Lubbock.

Survivors include two sons, Ruben Michael of Lubbock and Sammy Joe of Floydada; two daughters, Katherine Jones of Abilene and Barbara Wilson of Lubbock; a brother, Jake Kemp of Riverside, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
