Lizzie Kelso Funeral Is Held Monday
Funeral services for Lizzie Kelso, 70 of Lubbock were at 2 p.m. Monday at Faith Temple Church with the Rev. Rod Messer officiating.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kelso died at 5 a.m. Friday in Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Oklahoma and moved to Lubbock in 1949 from Ralls. She married Otis Kelso on Oct. 22, 1932 in Oklahoma. He died on April 8, 1975.
She was a member of Faith Temple Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mary Alice West, Judy Beevers, Georgia Clark and Wanda Andrews, all of Lubbock and Nancy Tull of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, Herman Mitchell of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Leatha Condra of Frederick, Okla., Annie of Ralls, Eva Scott of Oklahoma City and Naomi Summerall of Bentonville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were O.B. Henslee, Jess Berry, Sammy Melton, Billy Potter, Charles Hargrove and Demus Buckner.
