Edna Jones Services for Edna Jones, 86, of Ralls were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 1997, in the Ralls First Baptist church with Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Jones died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, in Lubbock´s St. Mary hospital following an illness.

She was born September 20, 1911, in Omaha, TX, and married Garland Jones on April 14, 1928, in Chilicothe, TX. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1996. She was a member of the Ralls First Baptist church and the victory Sunday school Class. She also had worked in Bible Shcool. She had worked for the Ralls Nursing Home and had sold Tupperware for 30 years. She moved to the Ralls area in 1941 from Chilicothe.

She is preceded in death by a son, Bobby Dean Jones.

Survivors include a two daughters, Betty Engel of Abilene and Juanell Holtman of Idalou; a brother, Roy McCollum of Hale Center; a sister, Juanita Williams of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Galen Engel and Phil Engel both of Abilene, and Joyce Merritt, Joe Wayne Holtman and Jennifer Stegman all of Lubbock; and seven great-grandchildren, jackson Merritt, Macy Merritt, and Jagger Holtman all of Lubbock, and Shane Engel, Jennifer Engel, Nocholas Engel, and Jeffrey Engel all of Abilene.
