Funeral services for Billye Jean Johnson of Crosbyton were at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Ralls with Dr. John Claypool, pastor of the Second Baptist Church in Lubbock, officiating.

Burial followed in Ralls Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Born Aug. 11, 1923, in Blair, Okla., the former Billy Jean Lowe married Paul Edwin Johnson on March 18, 1945, in Fort Worth. Mr. Johnson preceded his wife in death Dec. 15, 1967.

The family moved to Crosby County in 1936 from Oklahoma.

Mrs. Johnson was a housewife.

She is survived by one daughter, Paula Mull of Lubbock; five sisters, Mrs. J. Clyde (Nona) Hillin of Ralls, Mrs. C. J. (Jimmye) Hoffman and Mrs. Donal (Jane) Parker, both of Crosbyton, Mrs. Terry (Sammie) Edwards of Las Cruces, N.M., and Mrs. Bill (Bobbie) Morris of Artesia, Calif.; and one granddaughter, Tracy Hutton of Lubbock.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Mack Lowe, on Aug. 2, 1973.
