U.S.Flag Services for Joe Jester, 86, of Ralls were at 2 p.m. Wed., March 26, 2003, at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Haddock officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at his home.

He was born September 29, 1916, in Montague County. He married Irene Wofford on May 23, 1942, in Ralls. She died July 19, 1996. He was an active member of the Ralls First Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a member of the Pastor´s Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Crosby County V.F.W. and the Ralls Senior Citizens. He moved to Ralls in 1925 from Montague County and owned and operated a mechanic shop in Ralls for many years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Hugh Jester. Survivors include a son, James, and a daughter Jancy Jester, both of Lubbock.

Pallbearers will be Bob Kimbrough, Robert Danner, Joey Caddell, James Caddell, Dag Azam,and Bryan Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be the Crosby County V.F.W., First Baptist Church Deacons and their wives, and the Glory Singers.

The family suggests memorials to Ralls Senior Citizens.
