Irene Jester Photo RALLS (Special) - Services for Irene Jester, 75, of Ralls will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Cain of Lubbock and the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Friday, July 19, 1996, at Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital.

She was born Feb. 14, 1921, in Cone. She married Joe Jester on May 23, 1942, in Ralls. She was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She played basketball and tennis at Ralls High School, and she played women´s softball in the 1950's as a pitcher. She represented Ralls High School in state competition in sewing, representing the Homemaking Department. She was among the Women of Distinction in Girl Scouts in 1993, and she served as a scout leader in Ralls for many years.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; a son, James of Lubbock; and a brother, Gene Wofford of Richardson.
