Ralls - Services for Lucy James, 80, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Emma Church of Christ with Dennis May, minister, officiating.

Burial followed in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

She died at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Lubbock´s Highland Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Montague County and moved to Ralls in 1974 from Lubbock. She married Porter James in 1929 in Ralls. He died in 1988. She was a member of the Chruch of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Shirey of Mabank and Carol Fenley of Amarillo; three brothers, Clarence Verett of Ralls, C. A. Verett of Abilene and Paul Verett of Irving; four sisters, May Reynolds of Athens, Ala., Nellie Sessom Ralls, Lena Moses of Crosbyton and Betty Jean Pepper of Sabinal; and five grandchildren.
