RALLS (Special) - Services for A. J. "Al" Jamerson, 73, of Hereford and formerly of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Ralls First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Marcom, pastor, and the Rev. Dick Richards, pastor of the Bovina First United Methodist Church, officiating.Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Jamerson died Friday night at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a short illness. He was born in Franklin, Ky., and married Mary Fern Grise in Soper, Okla., on July 28, 1933. He moved from eastern Oklahoma to the Ralls area in 1933. He lived in Hereford for the past five years. He was a retired farmer and a member of First United Methodist Church in Hereford.
Survivors include his widow; a son, James H. of Ralls; a daughter, Helen Shoemaker of Hobbs, N.M.; his mother, Mrs. Jessie Jamerson of Bovina; a brother, Lawrence of Bovina; two sisters, Ruth Wilson of Lubbock and Levine Grise of Long Beach, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
