Memorial services for Mildred Edith Clinton Ivy, a Crosbyton resident 34 years, were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church. The Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, officiated. Interment was made in Ralls Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Robertson, Marlin Robertson, Waldo Havens, Dr. James Stokes, Joe Cargile and Dalmer Gowens.

The family requests memorials be in the form of gifts to the First Baptist Church Library or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund for the proposed new Fellowship Hall.

Mrs. Ivy was claimed by death at 9:15 p.m. Sunday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 67.

Born Jan. 9, 1913 in Calera, Okla., the former Mildred Edith Clinton was married March 26, 1933 in Clovis, N.M., to Dr. Roy Ivy Sr.

A housewife, Mrs. Ivy was a member of First Baptist Church in Crosbyton.

All four of her offspring were valedictorians of their respective graduating classes at Crosbyton High School. The three highest four-year averages ever posted at Crosbyton High were by children of Dr. and Mrs. Ivy.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Roy Ivy Sr. of Crosbyton; two sons, Dr. Roy Ivy Jr. of El Paso and Dr. David Ivy of Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Apple of Ralls and Mrs.. Mary Lou Henry of Lubbock; two brothers, Morris Clinton and Judge Thomas L. Clinton, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Mrs. Christine Nabor and Mrs. Mabel Boyd, both of Lubbock, and Mrs. Alma Lambert of Houston; and six grandchildren.

Roy Ivy Sr. photo RALLS (Special) — Services for Dr. Roy Ivy Sr., 76, of Crosbyton will be at 4 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Fuller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home. He died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in his son´s home in Lubbbock. He had been under a doctor´s care.

He was born in Fort Worth and moved to Crosbyton in 1945. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He married Mildred Edith Clinton on March 26, 1933, in Clovis, N.M. She died on Sept. 28, 1980. He had been a chiropractor since 1931 and had operated Ivy Chiropractice Clinic in Crosbyton since 1945. He was a member of Texas Chiropractic Association, Lions Club and American Legion.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Jr. of El Paso and David L. of Lubobck; two daughters, Ann Apple of Ralls and Mary Lou Baccus of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Furman of Fort Worth; a sister, Alma Ora Ferguson of Arlington; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rusy Baccus, Brad Baccus, Jim Henry, Billy Boyd, Frank Garcia and Charles Burt.

The family suggests memorials to Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital.

The family will receive friends at 701 Ave. N. in Ralls.
