Graveside services for Walter C. Hunter, 92, of Ralls were held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Ralls Cemetery with James Roberts officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Friday, June 28, 2002, at his home in Ralls.

He was born September 17, 1909, in Jacksboro, TX.

He married Frances Bryant on November 5, 1986 in Crosbyton.

He was a member of the Manhattan Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lubbock. He had worked for Gerald Collier for several years and had owned the Rock Shop. He lived in Oklahoma until the age of 24 and then moved to the Ralls area in 1951.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Hunter of Ralls; two sons, Harvey Hunter of Ralls and Alfred Hunter of Cisco; two stepsons, Dell Miller of Ralls and Robert Mefferd of Longview; one stepdaughter, Louise Hamlin of Corpus Christi; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
