Eleanor Huddleston

Services for Eleanor Ragle Huddleston, 97, of Colleyville, formerly of Ralls will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2006 in the Ralls First United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Eleanor passed away Monday, September 18, 2006 at CLC Woodridge Nursing Home in Grapevine. She was born January 31, 1909 in Emma, Texas to William Elmon and Launa Parchman Ragle. She was a graduate of Ralls High School and Texas Tech University with a degree in Home Economics. She taught Home Economics in Lamesa for about nine years.

She was an active member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Ralls Garden Club and many other Ralls civic organizations.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marjorie Reed who passed away in 1987 and a grandson, Taylor Huddleston who passed away in 1989.

Surviving her are two sons, Lauren Huddleston and his wife Rebecca of Colleyville and Lynn Ragle Huddleston, missing in action since 1967 during the Vietnam War; three grandchildren, Spencer, Forrest and Alexandra Huddleston, all of Colleyville; and a niece, Kay Reed Wilsher of Lubbock.
